During the winter months, when the temperature falls below 10C and bees can no longer sustainably fly, they huddle in a ball in the hive and shiver to keep warm. At the center of that ball of bees is the queen bee who takes a long break from her normal duties. Unlike her, our main queen bee is hard at work preparing more hives for our spring expansion!
